Our library values access, inquiry, literacy, collaboration, privacy, and equity. We support staff and students by connecting them with high-quality resources and instruction to enhance their learning.
We provide the following services to support learning:
- Instruction - Students learn how to responsibly use and evaluate resources, information, and technology tools.
- Access to resources - Students check out library books or access digital resources that meet their academic needs or help them explore their interests.
- Reader’s Advisory - Get suggestions for which book to read next, or which resources to use for a project.

Mission
Wilburn Elementary School library is an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where patrons entrust their ideas and beliefs by establishing connections and participating in innovative collaboration that will deepen thinking and understanding. The school library media specialist promises to ensure access for all and build trusting relationships to ensure support.
Vision
Wilburn Elementary School library strives to create learners with the mindset to reach their fullest potential while supporting their challenges and successes and fostering relationships and connections that are integral in leading to the deepening of understanding of the creative, educational, and personal growth of each student.
